A QuickFIX data dictionary is an XML document which can be used to configure the variants of the QuickFIX engine (e.g. QuickFIX/J). It became somewhat of a de-facto standard and is used in other 3rd party offerings such as Chronicle FIX.
It defines fields, groups, messages and components.
